State of the theories
#1
In light of Journal 3, what can we say about some of the old theories?

Lebam: parallel universe doubles are confirmed. Close interaction with doubles causes annihilation, so no real possibility that Mabel hid a double in the house.

Duplicate McGuckets: more evidence because Dipper noticed his gold tooth changing position. If they are extradimensional they might be clever enough to stay out of each other's way.

ROOTHM active in Gravity Falls with Stan a member: Ford said it was their father's hat and they never learned much about the Order.

Any others?

Duplicate Mcguckets: A joke about animation continuity. Animation is HARD, dude.

If nobody mentions it, it may be an animatiion error. If a character talks about it, it's canon. ;)

Look buddy, just because it was mentioned doesn't confirm your headcanon

Rock never said it was confirmed, they just said that there is more evidence that points to it.

Alex likes to poke fun at stuff like animation errors though

^That's also true.

Journal 2 location: Ford hid it near a school, and it's implied that Gideon found it there.

Seeker's water tower theory: Nothing in the journal mentions it.

Blind Ivan worked with Ford and McGucket: Ivan was a carney at a circus, and Fiddleford told him about the Blind Eye. Ford mentions in the journal (in regards to the illustration of a person being thrown in the portal via rope) that they will use a test dummy, so this disconfirms not just Ivan, but any third person in their experiments (unless you count Bill, I guess).

There's more evidence for The Lebam Theory after S2 than there was after S1. If there is a Mabel doppelgagnger, it's the fear of heights that is the most likely giveaway. Given this new information, it's more likely to be either Mabel from the future, invisible taking pictures of the 2012 summer, and or a weirdness doppelganger such as in Dipper's doppelganger Dippy Fresh.

If Mabel made a brother for herself, maybe she made a sister for Dipper.
I think she already had one made from episode 4, but I digress...

That's awesome the tooth position was mentioned.

Remember also the hair connection and cloning. Doubles can be interdimensional or time anomalous, but they can also be copies with variation on durability.

The backward Mabel and McGuckets Theory leaves room for either or even both.

Their father's Royal Order may have been covering up past extradimensional events just like Mayor Tyler's Nevermind All That speech. Likely the Egyptians also, as Soos asked if aliens built the pyramids and Bill mentioned the pyramids didn't build themselves.

Either of the Grunkles would, in theory, be eligible to join The Order by birthright, so Stan may have joined at any time in the past thirty years. Whatever happened, he somehow got the fez. I wonder if he went back home or it was sent to Ford after their dad passed away.

I've a theory that Shermie or someone came to live with Stan at some point and somehow became invisible or out of body as Dipper was during the Bipper incident.

The best way to make a thing seem ridiculous is to make an attraction out of it, thus hiding it in plain sight.

If the Cipher Wheel Prophecy just needs characters that match the theme of each symbol, then it's possible the one time we've seen it used was just an introduction, so we'll understand the event in the eventual movie.

It didn't happen in the timeline, so it's not yet a prophecy, by definition.

I expect a movie with shuffled around characters.

There is a reptoid skeleton in the saucer and a reptoid cryptogram in the end credits, so reptile people likely exist behind some form of camouflage.
The clue mentions they work in government.

The time McGucket slapped the sandwich from the guy while Blendin was in the background distracts from the fact that he's wearing a Winter hat on the beach in Summer implying he's from somewhere much, much hotter.
